How QueryBeam works

Version 1.0, effective from 2026-08-23

This is a translation. The Czech version prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
This page describes what happens inside the service and is not binding. What binds is the wording of the Terms of Service. The definition of the service, which must not be exceeded, is in Article 2 of the Terms.

In one sentence

You set what should be asked and when. At the agreed time an automated voice assistant calls, asks those questions, and what the person answers is written down together with a verbatim quotation.

Step by step

1. You create a profile and questions

You enter the name and telephone number of the person to be called and write the questions. You word the questions yourself; the service offers no ready-made questionnaires.

For each question you choose what type the answer should be — yes/no, a number, or free text.

2. The called person confirms consent

A message goes to the number entered, carrying a code and the text the called person agrees to by confirming it: that an automated assistant may call them and that the call is recorded. On a landline the same is read out by an automated voice.

Until somebody confirms the code, the service does not call. The code goes to the called person, not to you.

3. You set the schedule

You choose the days and times. A plan of calls is assembled from the schedule.

If the called person withdraws consent, or their telephone number changes, scheduled calls disappear from the plan — so that the calling stopping is visible before the hour comes round.

4. The call takes place

The assistant introduces itself in the first sentence and says that it is automated. It then asks your questions and listens to the answers. The called person may hang up at any time, decline to answer, or say outright that they no longer want to be called.

If nobody answers, the call is not charged.

5. The call produces a record

A transcript is produced from the audio. From the transcript an answer to each question is extracted in the required type — and with it a verbatim quotation of what the called person said, including its position in the call.

That quotation is there on purpose. Extracting the value is done by a machine and is not error-free, so every datum shows what it came from.

6. You look at the result

In the application you see the answers over time, and for each of them you can display the quotation with one click. For 12 months you can also play the recording of the whole call.

What the service does not do

This is not a list of missing features. It is the definition of the product, and exceeding it would change the regulatory regime the service operates in:

  • it does not make or propose a diagnosis,
  • it does not recommend treatment or a change of medication,
  • it does not compare answers against thresholds and issues no alerts,
  • it calculates no scores or indices,
  • it offers no reading of how a value develops over time — it writes neither "improvement" nor "deterioration" beside it,
  • it measures no physiological quantities,
  • it does not serve urgent situations and does not replace the availability of a doctor.

Judging what was said belongs to a human being. The service delivers an answer and its source; what follows from that is your decision.

Where the data goes

StepWho performs itWhere
telephone connectivity and messagestelephony providerIreland
conversation and speech recognitionvoice interaction provideroutside the EU, with safeguards under Chapter V GDPR
text processingtext processing providerEU
storage and displaythe OperatorEU, Germany

The call transcript does not leave the European Union. A complete overview including transfer mechanisms is in the list of sub-processors, and the security measures are in the Data Security Declaration.

What happens to the data afterwards

The recording and transcript are retained for 12 months from the call and are then deleted; the period is enforced by an automated job, not by anybody's memory. What remains with a recorded answer is only the sentence it came from.

If the called person asks for erasure, the profile is anonymised: the name, the number, the transcripts, the quotations and the recordings all go.

Two ways to reach the service

You order it yourself. You are a consumer, the Terms of Service apply, we are the controller of the data, and the calling rests on the called person's consent.

An organisation calls you. A medical practice, a social care service or a company that has concluded a partner agreement with the Operator. That organisation is then the controller and you exercise your rights with them.

A shorter summary of the contractual terms is in the Overview, and answers to common questions in the FAQ.
